A Scientific View of Martial Skill - Our Curriculum
Each level expands on and enhances material taught in the previous levels and allows the instructor to develop to his full potential as a UMSF Instructor. This sequence of instruction may begin as early as Brown Belt and continues up through to 4th Degree Black Belt.
The first stage of development is the Assistant Instructor Course. This course focuses on providing a solid background in the basics of martial science taught at White Belt. The three major components of this level are:
1) Basic Teaching Skills and Philosophies
2) Sports Safety Training
3) The UMSF White Belt Curriculum
Teaching Self-Defense Skills
We focus on the personal development aspect of martial arts, not just self-defense moves.
Our instructors are all certified black belts, qualified, and professionally trained to teach martial science.
Our facility is always clean and features a judgement-free zone, as well as matted floors throughout.
